About Me.

Hi, I'm Nikki owner of Pump it! Fitness.

Please allow me to introduce myself with a little about me and how I came to be in the fitness industry.

I’m a 40 year old mum of 3 and unlike many Personal Trainers I haven’t always been into fitness. For many years I worked as a hairdresser running my own salon within LA Fitness Gym in Copthorne Sussex.

  • I couldn't even run for a bus or walk to my local shop I would jump in the car!

  • I wore size 20-22 clothes and weighed approximately 17 stone!

  • My knees ached all the time due to my weight.

  • I was a smoker of about 20 per day and asthmatic.

Not a pretty picture!

As I passed my 35th birthday I decided I needed to do something about my fitness, size and overall health because I didn’t want to end up suffering with my health from my lack of exercise bad diet and smoking.

My family has history of:

  • type 2 diabetes

  • osteoporosis (brittle bones)

  • Alzheimer’s

  • Cancer

The risk of all can be significantly reduced with improved diet and increased exercise.

I wanted to combat this, so I joined a Gym and started training regularly. Soon I was feeling the benefits and one day I woke up and decided today was the day to stop smoking so I did!

After a while I decided I wanted to help others to also improve their quality of life and try to avoid the downward spiral of their fitness and health. I signed up to study a CYQ level 3 diploma in Personal Training.

I had always felt intimidated at the Gym by the "skinny minis" and the "ripped" men I didn’t have a PT because the 19 year old trainers or the older bodybuilders made me feel inferior, incapable and FAT.

I am NOT a Skinny Mini nether am I Ripped, I am a mum who wants to help others improve their fitness and life expectancy.
